++ Euromed Invest holds master class on new marketing tools for Maghreb Tourism businesses
08-02-2016
Some 20 businesses from across the Maghreb recently took part in a two-day training on offline and online marketing for tourism businesses in the region, organised in Casablanca in the framework of the EU-funded project Euromed Invest.
The event brought together seven representatives from businesses in the tourism industry from Tunisia, six from Algeria and 12 from Morocco, as well as representatives of project partners such as the Malaga Chamber of Commerce, the Casablanca Chamber of Commerce and Services, and BusinessMed.
Participants were able to better understand and measure the positive impact of online and offline marketing tools. Special focus was given to the importance of establishing an online marketing strategy through three social networks in particular: Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube. Particular attention was also given to email marketing.
The objective of the EUROMED Invest project is to boost private business and investment within the Euro-Mediterranean region to contribute to an inclusive economic development. The project activities aim to empower Euro-Med business and investment networks to implement targeted strategies in support of SME development in specific sectors: agri-food, water and alternative energies, tourism, transport and logistics, cultural and creative industries.
