We have been traveling all over Morocco for one month and Kasbah Sable D'Or chez Isabelle and Rachid was really a fantastic find and a real desert experience. Not to mention the best place we have found in the whole Morocco and certainly best value for the money spent (only 16 eur per person for a room with halfboard for 2 people!!!). Isabelle is the greatest and imaginative cook and if you want to taste Moroccan food with a French twist, this is the place! I will never forget her sweet cous-cous as a dessert and mousse au chocolat! Rachid on the other hand is a fantastic drummer -ask him politely and he will all of a sudden transform into a real saharian musician with great talent! The position of this charming auberge is fantastic, right on the doorstep of the big golden dunes that are just a short walking distance away and can be seen behind the house. Amazing! Isabelle and Rachid will happily arrange every possible trip to make your wishes come true, even sending you off into the romantic sunset with dromedaries, sleeping in a beduin tent in the middle of the dunes or arranging 4WD trips... So in this lovely little place of Isabelle and Rachid you've got it all: hospitality, generosity, fantastic food, great people, and if you just want some peace and quite for a change, the best little garden in Merzouga which in few years will definitely be an oasis in the desert! For me personally, evenings around the little traditional stove listening to Rachid's stories and jokes were the best and when we blew into the "fireplace" with traditional fan, it was like our own little firework.... We will treasure our experience forever... Thank you Isabelle and Rachid for the best time in Morocco!
